Like the eagle above the storms

Recommended Posts

Imagine a majestic eagle - large, powerful, with its wings spread wide. It glides through the air, seemingly untouchable, soaring above things. But then... something unexpected happens. A crow - much smaller, weaker and seemingly completely inferior - approaches the eagle. And what does it do?

It sits cheekily on its back... and starts pecking at it.

It pecks at him again and again, right in the neck. Painful. Disturbing. Nerve-wracking.

And now, my dears - what would you expect the eagle to do?

Does it defend itself? Does it turn around? Does it fight? No.

The eagle wastes no energy on this attack. It does not fight. He does not argue. It does not whine.

It simply spreads its mighty wings...

and soars...

higher.

And higher.

It flies so high that the air becomes thinner. The oxygen less. And as he gets further and further away from the ground - from the noise, from the fight, from the confinement - the crow suddenly realizes:

It can't take any more.

It can hardly breathe. Her strength is fading. And finally... it lets go. It falls back, unable to fly any further.

And what does that mean for us?

We all know those “crows” in life, don't we?

Maybe it's the constant pressure at work.

The uncertainties of the future.

Conflicts with other people.

Health worries.

Or that quiet voice inside that says: “You can't do it.”

These crows sit on our backs. They peck at us. They barely let us breathe.

And sometimes we try to fight them directly - with our own strength. With arguments. With stress. With control.

But maybe...

it's time to react like the eagle.

Not to fight. Not to argue.

But to fly higher.

How can we do that?

By taking a higher perspective.

By elevating ourselves spiritually.

By directing our thoughts away from the problems...

and towards the one who is above all:

Jehovah.

Illustration (in addition to the story with the eagle):

Imagine you are sitting in a boat on a lake. Suddenly it starts to rain. Stormy. The water beats against the sides. It's dark and the fear comes up.

What do you do? You could try to scoop the water out of the boat with a cup - frantically, in a panic. But that hardly helps. Because as long as the storm rages, new water will come in.

But then... you discover a sail.

And suddenly... a strong, invisible wind blows into it. The boat begins to glide. Fast. Powerfully.

You let yourselves be carried - not by your own strength, but by the wind.

This wind is like Jehovah's Holy Spirit.

It carries us through the storm.

It helps us to rise higher.

Not because we are so strong - but because he is.

The Bible says in Isaiah 40:31:

“But those who hope in Jehovah gain new strength.

They mount up with wings like eagles.

They run and do not grow weary,

They walk and do not faint.”

What a promise!

When we trust in Jehovah, when we cling to him, when we allow his Spirit to work - then we receive strength that we would never have on our own.

So, what can we learn from the story of the eagle?

When the problems of life are breathing down our necks - like the crow -

then it is not our battle to fight.

Our path is:

Soar higher.

Trust in Jehovah.

Let the Holy Spirit carry us.

Because if we no longer “oxygenate” the things of this world,

they will let us go at some point.

And then?

Then we can fly again. Free. Peacefully. At altitude.

Conclusion (with a lot of love and feeling):

I wish for you to remember this when life gets hard:

You are not alone.

You are not helpless.

You have wings.

And you have a father who sees you - and who gives you strength.

So spread your wings.

And fly...

higher.

With love.

With trust.

With Jehovah.

I asked ai the question...

Does a crow attacks  eagles ?

The answer was...

Yes, crows do attack eagles, although the eagles rarely respond with aggression. Crows will harass eagles, especially during nesting season, to defend their territory, food, or nestlings. This harassment can involve dive-bombing, pecking, and even riding on the eagle's back.
