Creation Speaks: 'The Imortal jellyfish'

Recommended Posts

My friends, may praise and glory go to Jehovah for gifting mankind with a rich abundance of unique organisms for all to enjoy.

It's in each of his designs, where our heavenly father reveals himself through his creation. Romans 1:20 I wanted to share one such example with you.

While researching creation (watching a series called "Octonauts") (Yes its a kid show, Yes i'm 22) it was revealed to me a true marvel of creation: Turritopsis dohrnii 'The Imortal Jellyfish'

Okay its not truly "immortal" in the sense of never dying as in being eaten, however it has a unique ability. This invertebrate rapidly replicates its cells making it immune to old age and being able to restart its life cycle continuously.

When this jellyfish is injured or stressed, it goes through a process called transdifferentiation. During this process cells change into any other cell type, allowing it to repair damaged tissues and organs.

To me this creatures existance strengthens my faith in the promise Jehovah gives "I am making all things new" Revelation 21:5 And a life without sickness or Death. Revelation 21:4 I strongly encourage you to research more on this Jellyfish as it is quite fascinating! Feel free to leave your thoughts below.

Scriptural references:

Romans 8:38,39: For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers  39 nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Job 12:7-10:7:

However, ask, please, the animals, and they will instruct you; Also the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you.  8 Or give consideration to the earth, and it will instruct you; And the fish of the sea will declare it to you.  9 Who among all these does not know That the hand of Jehovah has done this?  10 In his hand is the life of every living thing And the spirit of every human.
