1 Peter 1:8 Love the invisible

Recommended Posts

Today's daily text is a gem, a spiritual treasure.

I have been wondering for some time why Jehovah is invisible to modern humans.

Being invisible here means being exempt from trials, angels, or direct interactions with humans, just as it was 2,000 years ago.

Okay. There are several arguments, I know. Many arguments.

We have Paul's words about “when the complete comes, it will no longer be necessary.” There is also the greater meaning of Jesus already fulfilling everything that exists (prophecies) and so on....

But one thing I thought is that Jehovah no longer presents himself to us because of what is written in today's text:

1 Peter 1:8, which says:

Although you have never seen him, you love him. Although you do not see him now, you exercise faith in him and rejoice greatly with an indescribable and glorious joy, as you reach the goal of your faith: your salvation.

The verse emphasizes that Jehovah does not reveal himself to humans, even though many scientists, atheists, and other people want proof of his existence. Even so, although Jehovah does not reveal himself to us, we have something greater.

The verse highlights:

1. love for knowing that God is here in some way (feeling)

2. indescribable joy

2. we have the goal of faith (purpose)

3. enables salvation

Now, if we think about it, it makes sense.

In such a modern age, so full of knowledge, AI, high technology, virtual reality, holograms, and with that, much goes unnoticed by us because we are fatigued and exhausted from so much information that we have every moment of the day.

But if we do not see Jehovah, God, then we have a point of balance in our busy lives!

Not seeing the miracles that are clearly visible today, or not seeing angels materializing, walking around and communicating with us, or not encountering voices from heaven—it makes us think.

Perhaps not feeling all of this, as our ancestors did, may be a greater privilege for our faith and salvation.

Jehovah's great wisdom in knowing that in the last days and after the Great Tribulation would be so bad for humanity and especially for his servants led Jehovah to leave riddles, loose ends, and puzzles so that sincere people would seek him and at the same time have joy, purpose in life, and be saved.

So, not seeing spiritual things now or not seeing the materialization of great miracles is a benefit and not the opposite.

What do you think?
