Kindles/Ipads

Recommended Posts

I am looking at maybe buying a kindle/ipad and was wondering because I have seen a similar version at ALDI. a cheap supermarket and would like to know If I can use it like a laptop. For invoicing and other emailing functions. For the hall with meeting programs & when we go away play dvd's on them etc? I don't have a lot of storage space where I live. So simple/less clutter and easy to store away products work. Best in my area? So Some imput would be great thank you.

I have both the Kindle Fire and the iPad. For most of what you have mentioned, the Kindle would not at all be a good choice. The iPad is my favorite for you can do much more on it. But it does not equal to a laptop. Since they are both tablets, much would be needed to be added to even become close to a laptop... for example, you would need a bluetooth keyboard; certain apps to do certain things which can become pricy; there is no usb port on either; etc. And neither has a disc drive for cds or dvds.

I got an ASUS transformer 201 prime with a keyboard, which cost extra. It works great for meetings and then I have a Kindle App on it so I can read any of my books I get from Amazon. It wouldn't be necessary to have both. I chose the ASUS over the iPad because of being able to use Google Playstore for the JW apps I wanted. It is a little expensive though and you can get reconditioned ones from Ebay but be careful because not all selling on Ebay are trustworthy. I prefer studying my WT with the Kindle because I'm used to it, but there are other programs that work too.

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.
