Here's one I like....

It's great with fruit...but oh so wonderful with cinnamon and sugar pita's chips (I love those)

The Best Fruit Dip EVER

Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients:

7oz Marshmallow Creme

8oz low-fat or whipped cream cheese, softened to room temperature

2 Tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate

Fruit dippers: strawberries, grapes, pineapple, apples, berries, cantaloupe

Directions:

Spoon marshmallow creme into a large, microwave safe bowl, and microwave for 20 seconds. Whisk in softened cream cheese and orange juice concentrate until very smooth. Chill, then serve with fruit.

They have this at the medieval fair here at the Stan Hewet Hall and it is crazy good....this recipe is really close to what they make in the kettles at the fair.

Kettle Corn

Ingredients

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup white sugar

1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels

Directions

1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once hot, stir in the sugar and popcorn. Cover, and shake the pot constantly to keep the sugar from burning. Once the popping has slowed to once every 2 to 3 seconds, remove the pot from the heat and continue to shake for a few minutes until the popping has stopped. Pour into a large bowl, and allow to cool, stirring occasionally to break up large clumps.

Those recipes sound great Faith.

one my kids like, is Triffle.. prepared in individal cups. This is jelly tin fruit and custard

Make jelly. divide into individual glasses, Let this set for a few hrs

then add some jam rolls or whatever cakes you have, for adults splash some of your favorite liquer or port.

add tin fruit, custard and serve with whipped cream and strawberries, Or what they like.

Yes Nancy you are right. for both, they look great. awesome idea in the jar.

For some reason, I have usually never gone to Antique stores, or haven't gone to 2nd hand stores for a while. But lately. I have had this Idea to go buy old fancy teapots.like the other day I found this really cool old set with this cups you could use for espresso's. When my girls come home from school. I try to make for them most days like a tea party & make it relaxing & do something with them spiritually..They love their cakes.
