Memorial Reading Schedule

Recommended Posts

This schedule is a lovely way to keep track by checking the boxes after completing the reading.

Today’s reading was brief, but a lot of activity is embraced in the verses:

  • All male Israelites had to attend the Passover in Jerusalem and many went with their family, so there were people everywhere, filling up all available lodging and even wherever they could put a tent.
  • Ceremonial cleanness was required under penalty of death in order to acceptably celebrate the Passover
  • Jesus made an arduous journey from Jericho at 820 feet [250 m] below sea level up to Bethany at 2,500 feet [760 m] to stay at Lazarus’ home, about 3 km or about an hour’s journey from Jerusalem, arriving before sunset, when the Sabbath, Nisan 8, began.

"Where the scriptures and and the slave are silent, I do not speak." :bible2:

Since 2006, JWTalk has proved to be a well-moderated online community for real Jehovah's Witnesses on the web. However, our community is not an official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not endorsed, sponsored, or maintained by any legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. We are a pro-JW community maintained by brothers and sisters around the world. We expect all community members to be active publishers in their congregations, therefore, please do not apply for membership if you are not currently one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
