Forced participation in religious activities to be classified as child abuse in Japan

The guidelines will also urge authorities to pay attention to the possibility that children may be unable to recognize the damage caused by abuse after being influenced by doctrine-based thinking and values.

@Dages, since you're in Japan, do you think this would negatively affect our organization?

The only recent thing about JWs and the government is some exJWs complaining because they were spanked in the 1970s 1980s...

In daily life, really, no impact at all

But spanking your kids was legal in the 70's and 80's in Japan, no?

That's like me going at 80mph at a street on a Monday, the state installing a 50mph speed limit at that point on Wednesday. And a Karen complaining to the police on Friday that I "broke the law" on Monday.

Tsw 🤦🏿
