More than 1,000 volunteers are expected to help expand the Brisbane Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in a $4.8 million project.

Some volunteers are putting their businesses on hold, taking annual leave, or travelling from as far away as New Zealand to contribute their time and professional skills without pay.

In just the first two weeks, 131 volunteers completed internal demolition work.

The expansion will include a Bible Education Centre, accommodation, and upgraded facilities. Completion is anticipated in September 2027.

The project highlights the remarkable willingness of Jehovah’s people to make personal sacrifices in support of pure worship.

Bro. David: Thanks for bringing this to our attention! I have family who’ve been in this area a long time and am certain they’ll appreciate their ‘new’ Assembly Hall! - your brother in Danbury , CT 😊
