NWP practice territory

Recommended Posts

We are switching from Territory Helper to the NWP territory. It would be nice if we had a few territories we could play with and train on without affecting any of the congregation territories.

Is there a way to create 'practice' territories for hands on training? Has anyone done that?

I am not aware of practice territories. But I know you can export från TH so you do not have to start all over. You do not have to make the territories public so you can play around in NWS before you go live.

Thanks but that has already been done. We are looking for a way for the congregation to practice on a territory.

Yes, you can definitely do that! Depends on where you are in your conversion.

1. If you have not yet converted from TH to NWP: You can create a few sample territories in just a few minutes. For testing, they don't even have to be big territories. Just draw some boundaries, add some addresses, assign them out, and go through the steps to mark them as if you were going door-door. Then you can just as easily delete them for a clean slate when you do the conversion.

2: if you have already converted: Just create 1 or more temporary 'test' territories with boundaries OUTSIDE your current territory boundaries (NWP doesn't care!). Add a few addresses, go through steps to assign them out, then work them as if you were there in real life. Learn how to change their visibility scope (ie, cong, fs group, personal) and how to return them. When testing is finished, just delete the samples. You can delete all record of them, so they won't clutter up the next CO report.
