Google chrome searching

Recommended Posts

I tried to change my default search engine (somehow it changed to yahoo!) back to Google. I've managed to do it but now, if i type something in, e.g. "hello" and press enter, it takes me to the Google.com page but without my search entry, meaning i have to type it out again.

If someones knows what i'm doing, please help! :)

It appears this is an issue with Chrome that has popped up recently.

Try this fix. Just take it a step at a time, it isn't as hard as it seems:

1. Go to google.com

2. Right click on google's search bar (On the page, not the address bar in your Chrome)

3. Click "Add as Search Engine". (On the Keyword field, if it doesn't let you pass, just clear off the ".com" behind.

4. Go to Wrench > Settings > Manage Search Engines

5. You will see 2 boxes.

6. Click the bottom Search Engine you just added under "Other Search Engines"

7. On the right side of the list, Click "Make Default"

8. It will move to the top of the box under "Default Search Settings"

9. Remove the rest of the list except the one you just added.

10. Done!
