My kids love Lava Cake!

Devils Food Cake Mix, prepped according to pakcage.

oil and flour a stonewear Bunt pan or a microwave safe one

pour cake batter into pan

scoop about 2/3 - 3/4 of chocolate frosting into batter around middle

microwave for 11-13 minutes

let sit for 5 minutes

turn over onto dish with higher sides, when you do, frosting spills out and over cake!

serve warm with vanilla ice cream yum!

(you can do this in the oven with a regular bundt pan, it just takes longer to bake)

I had Lava cake once,couple years ago at a place called The Chart House in Marina Del Rey, it was really good, very rich. I'll try your recipe.

I don't have a microwave so it will have to take longer.

One that we do a lot is mix a bag of oyster crackers and about 1/2 bag of pretzels together. Then pour and stir enough oil in it to get the crackers sticky enough for a pack or two of ranch dressing mix. The powder stuff. Mix it all up. It's easy,cheap and the kids love it.
