Don't you love the friends!!!!

Recommended Posts

We attended a 25th annivarsary party for one of our MS's and his wife this last Saturday. Their story? 25years ago she met him while he was playing in a band in LA on Sunset Blvd. He had a perm and his hair was to his waist. He was the lead singer and a guitar player. She wanted to meet him badly. They started dating and got married. She began to study with her MIL and he was still running wild. He came home after a gig one night to an empty house with a letter on the bed stating it was her or the alcolhol and drugs--he had to make a choice. It was hard for them at first but he made her his choice and then began to study. Three kids and lots of hair cuts later they are celebrating their 25th. They showed side by side pictures from when they met 25 yrs ago--Him with his long permed hair and her in her hippie attire to what they look like today. He is completly bald. Three of our elders were standing side by side and one smiled at their pictures and shook his head and said "From cocaine to rogaine" and everyone has been laughing since!

Lol, that's great!!!

My husband and I met in 1986 when I was 14 and he was 17. We have pics of us then and our kids just laugh at the way we looked!!! And yes, we look nothing like we did then. I had the big '80s hair with tons of hair spray, and now I have a short bob. My husband is bald on top when at one time, he had alot of hair.

The sis I studied with continues to be my best friend, she has been married as long as I have. Her anniversary, as well as an elder and wife in my hall and another couple in a neighboring hall all fall around the same time. The 3 couples have been celebrating their anniversary together for over 30 years now and they have a coffee mug that has a picture of the three of them when the first started doing it. I just saw it again the other day and talk about big hair!! And BROWN hair to boot! Age is not our friend!
