Our circuit servant related this interesting experience.

A very new brother was being ridiculed by a coworker at place of employment. "You certainly don't believe that stuff in the Bible". "Do you really believe that Jesus turned water into wine ?"

The brother said I don't know - I wasn't there. "I do know that for me, he turned BEER into furniture."

I googled "beer into furniture" and other religions have used this illustration as one of the reasons to follow Jesus Christ.

Quoting from another website: "Lives which have been ruined by drink have been redeemed by Jesus. At a time of religious revival one woman was asked, “Do you really believe that Jesus changed water into wine?”” Yes,” she said, “And I can show you greater miracle. Come to my house and I will show you how he has turned beer into furniture!” He husband had been a drunkard who had spent all the money on drink and they had got into debt and had to pawn their furniture. But now he had been saved, he had given up drinking. Now they had been able to get their furniture back. Jesus had turned beer into furniture!"

I guess the CO can google :D

I am sure this actually happened with the new brother. He probably had heard this expression (beer into furniture) before. I will check with the C.O. to make sure.
