Caution When Recommending Abortion

Recommended Posts

The following well illustrates how inappropriate it is to suggest that an abortion is good under some circumstances...

Consider the following 3 cases:

1. The father is sick with sniffles, the mother has TB. They have four children. The first is blind, the second is dead, the third is deaf, and the fourth has TB. She finds she's pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you consider recommending an abortion?

2. A white man raped a thirteen-year-old black girl and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending an abortion?

3. A teenage girl is pregnant. She's not married. Her fiancé, is not the father of the baby, and he's very upset. Would you consider recommending an abortion?

In the first case, you would have just killed Beethoven.

In the second case, you would have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer.

If you said yes to the third case, you would have just declared the murder of Jesus Christ!!!

About JWTalk.net - Jehovah's Witnesses Online Community

Since 2006, JWTalk has proved to be a well-moderated online community for real Jehovah's Witnesses on the web. However, our community is not an official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not endorsed, sponsored, or maintained by any legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. We are a pro-JW community maintained by brothers and sisters around the world. We expect all community members to be active publishers in their congregations, therefore, please do not apply for membership if you are not currently one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
