And discussing where the grey area begins and ends in theocratic territory is not going to get me anywhere. Thank you very much for your interesting tips and comments. I can understand all your considerations. I had a test account from NWS for several months and only worked with it locally. I also dealt with importing the data. Very nice software. But using it only as a local application would be like putting an engine from a Citroën 2CV into a Ferrari. And unfortunately there are other inconsistencies on the part of our elders when it comes to storing data on the Internet. But that would only cause eye-rolling here... Our COBE said that there would be new instructions on this whole issue in the foreseeable future (please take this statement with a grain of salt). I'll be patient - hopefully I've learnt that now. 😄

Since our BOE does not allow online tools, I need an offline solution. My predecessor developed something with "Numbers" (Apple). Not bad. But I work almost exclusively with Windows/Android and Excel. And the export/import (or conversion) doesn't work properly. I would then be able to use it on my PC and smartphone (mobile).

Hi, I'm looking for an offline territory management software. Can also be Excel-based. Without territory maps, but with statistical evaluation, e.g. how many territories have not been worked on for more than 6 months or which territories has Brother Johnson... Thanks for your help.

I seem to have the same problem with my iPad. Both my iPad and of course JWL are up to date. I opened the source from the talk in this week's "APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY" part and then downloaded the Watchtower as well. Then I highlighted something in a paragraph and added a note to the highlight. However, it does not appear in the right column. In the tab "Personal Study" I find the note and can also edit it. Interestingly, in the current Watchtower I can make notes for markers, and they also appear in the right column. Does this have something to do with the age of the publication? The Watchtower for the talk is from 2013.... Seems to be a bug, or am I the only one with brother Per?

Since I was looking for a software to simplify some organizational matters of the congregation, I came across NW Scheduler here. First of all I am playing around with a sample congregation. I have a few questions about NW Scheduler, but I don't want to ask the surely busy brothers in Australia. Maybe someone here can help me. 1. is it normal that the software closes after a few minutes of non-use? 2. is it possible to change basic settings for date and time format etc.? I come from Germany... 😉 Thanks for the help.

Neil, thanks for the detailed, helpful information. It looks like the second pen is from a different manufacturer. Meco and Meko. The Meco is unfortunately only available to order from US (customs fees...). The Meko is probably no longer available.

I would like to buy an Ipad Air 4 with stylus. Since my wife not only underlines in the JW library app, but also takes notes at talks, a pen should be included. Are there any inexpensive alternatives to the Pencil 2 that you can recommend for this application or is it worth taking the Apple Pencil 2 in any case?

Ok, open the Good News brochure in JW Library and tapped the 3dots (Android!) in the top right corner of the screen. Then I tapped the video (with cloud symbol) and choosed the video quality (resolution) 720p. --> Download After this the video was playing. Switching to Airplane mode, the video doesn't play anymore. 😐

Where is the original instruction to use the GN Brochure? I just know this: Videos Now Embedded in Good News Brochure Digital editions of the brochure Good News From God! on jw.org and in the JW Library app now include videos that supplement the material. If you have already downloaded the Good News brochure in JW Library, go to PUBLICATIONS > PENDING UPDATES to download the latest version with embedded videos. I can't believe that there is any instruction saying: Don't tap on the embedded video. 😉

Since a few days we have in the German version of JW Library App the GN Brochure with videos. My sad experience today with my bible study: Couldn't start the video ("What Is the Condition of the Dead?") directly out of the brochure! Need internet connection! It doesn't work neither I played the video before at home (by wifi). I thought if I play the video at home, the file will be saved automatically on my tablet (Android). 🤔😕 Any explanation?
