are there good games about? or are they all dubious?

Having just read the end comments about games... on another thread....I realize I have no idea what goes on in games...the only game I have played is "Tetris"...where you create horizontal lines using the falling blocks....

Dianne, Interesting what you said about COD, WoW and HALO. There are young brothers in my circuit and District who play these games and talk about them on facebook!!! The watchtower made it VERY clear that these are something we should and avoid and are Detestable to Jehovah!

We already had our CA, so I hope it is mentioned at Special assembly day and District convention! It hurts to see these ones talk about it like there is nothing wrong with it, and they cant be told! They get 'puffed up' when ever you try to advised them.

I'm glad the faithful slave is making it clear that these games are bad association!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a WII, and Super Mario Galaxy is awesome!

We have a LeapFrog WII game for my youngest son. A Sonic the Hedgehog game. Just Dance I & II for the exercise, along with WII Fit and another exercise game by EA.

... to name a few.

My favourite game of all time has always been "Mario Kart".

But, indeed, COD / WoW, not very good for a JW... "violence" / "magic" "demon"

I have a Wii too, there are some games that are good, I think. I always liked Harvest Moon Games. I used to play RPGs on the PC, they really get addictive, but after we had so many study articles about violence, and Ps 11:5 "Jehovah himself examines the righteous one as well as the wicked one,

And anyone loving violence His soul certainly hates." I stopped playing them. After making up my mind it wasn't really hard.

There are some adventure games I like, adventures are games where you have to solve puzzles and riddles, but there are many with occult stuff, so one has to be attentive here too.

Oh, and every few month we play Sing Star on the PS3, so much fun, next time will be Jan 30, we'll be 11 people this time. But Sing Star isn't really a game, is it? More karaoke.
