By the way, this Sunday, the whole of Italy will be following a program in streaming originating at the Bethel in Rome. Bro. Anthony Morris of the Governing Body will be visiting. ... I couldn't help wondering if we were going to get the new Bible in Italian at this meeting!

 

I thought you might find Bro. Morris's introduction interesting. Here's the transcription:

 

 

"Before I begin the talk there's something else I have to address. I'm holding the new revised Bible. I can see by your faces that some of you have been believing a rumour. I'm not here to release the Bible in Italian. [Audience reaction] Now I went from faccia bella to faccia brutta!

 

"I met a brother in the field ministry yesterday who was really thinking, 'cos he asked, 'Will we get the Bible in Italian?' But then he thought about it and he said he remembers 1984 when they got the revised Bible in English and then you got it three years later in Italian. Pazienza!"
