What camera and lens do you think JW.Org uses for their panorama photo headers

Recommended Posts

I always love the wide angle panoramas that the brothers use for the rolling photo headers on jw.org just wondering if anyone knows what equipment they are shooting these with... I can guess.. But it would be cool to know ...:)

Zeph 3:17 Jehovah your God is in the midst of you. As a mighty One, he will save. He will exult over you with rejoicing. He will become silent in his love. He will be joyful over you with happy cries....... Love it....a beautiful word picture.

I just took another look .. They are definitely using a wide angle in some shots like the one for Macao .. Probably an 16 or 18mm everything is in focus from a few inches to infinity .. I am into photography so I always like the details ...

I know they have canon and hassalblad equipment from some of the video shots that I have seen..

I think they could get those shots without the need for stitching together several shots. I'd bet they're using a full frame DSLR and a wide zoom like the 14-24.

And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

I've never seen that lens pictured with the 7d,what is it,some kind of panoramic lens? 'm a canon user too,i used to have a 5d mkii & the 17-40L series lens which i used for landscape shots,(see my profile pic)which gave fairly good wide anglle shots,,but found i wasn't using the gear enough to justify keeping it,i've now got a g12 compact which is ok

Different isn't it :) A tilt / shift lens would be good. Also a fish eye lens. Otherwise a good tripod then stitching photos. DSLR for sure. With the programs the brothers use being cutting edge it's probably really quick for them to stitch photos together :) Would be nice to see their art and photography dept!
