Temporary Age

 

As I look in the mirror a stranger seems to stare

For a moment I cannot help but get angry and glare

Then I realize it is only me

And feel alone with the image I see

My hair is thinning and turning to gray

I seem to get slower with each passing day

Then I remember the affects of sin

Are the reason for the state I am in

I reflect too on the promise given

By our Creator in heaven

Which then makes my heart rejoice

That I made such a choice

Serving our God loyal and true

He will this sin undo

So I look again in the mirror

And no longer feel terror

For the one looking back

Survives each attack

By standing fast

Down to the last

Relying on Jah to redeem

The love in my heart he has seen

So rather than feel rage

I accept this temporary age.
