Controversial Irish Archbishop tenders His Resignation

Catholic Archbishop Sean Brady tenders his resignation as he is now near 75 years of age.

 

Many people/victims had called for his resignation 4 years ago when his role as investigator for the Church re: allegations of Priests paedophile activities was exposed and the results of his moving rather than removing accused notorius priests was spoken against in the Irish newspapers and Parliament.

 

Years ago in his role as Investigator on behalf of the Church. After cases of Priests interfering with young children was reported to him, it was reported that he would interview the alleged victims/children, without their parents present, and swore them to secrecy and merely moved the perpetrator priests to other areas, where they continued their criminal activity for him to 'investigate' again and move them on again.

While acknowledging the hurt that victims of clerical sex abuse must feel at this silly man's failure to do the right thing and slink off into well-deserved obscurity, as someone so thoroughly disgusted with the many crimes of the RCC, I can only rejoice that he has done so much harm to this unpleasant cult by opening many people's eyes to what it really is and what it stands for.
