Because of the economy being so bad in Ohio. Pres. Obama has been to Ohio 3 times this year. One factory is in the Cleveland/Pittsburgh area. A Bro. was chosento be on the "Meet & Greet" team when Obama came to give a speech at his factory. He told his brother (also a JW) & they started joking about witnessing to the president. Then he realized he actually did have an opportunity if he took advantage of it. So he prayed & decided he'd use the Teach Book & the chap. on "Are We In The Last Days". He prayed most of the night before & the morning before he went to work. When he got there the FBI agents told all 9 men "Do not reach for anything out of your pocket. Armed guards are everywhere". Now he had to figure out where to put the Teach book as he'd planned on putting it in his back pocket. Every man was searched & no one ever questioned why he had a book in his pocket.... as if they couldn't see it. They told him he'd be next to last in line. So he kept his book in his left hand so he could shake with his right hand. He watched all the men in the line ahead of him as Obama usually shook hands & then gave them a "hug" which only took about 20 seconds with each man. Our Bro. is thinking there's no way he could give a presentation & offer the book in 20 seconds. But he kept praying. Finally the Pres. comes to him & shakes his hand. Our Bro. says immediately, "Would it be appropriate to give you a book?". Obama said, "Certainly". So our Bro. hands him the book open to that chapter & says, "I know you've had to deal with a lot of problems in your short time as president. This chapter will explain why many of these things are happening & bring you some comfort & satisfaction in seeing how those problems will soon be eliminated.The president thanked him, looked at the questions at the top of the page & smiled, saying he looked forward to reading it. So you can tell the friends you know that Obama HAS been witnessed to & given a book by a Bro. from Ohio Circuit 12A. Sometimes you hear from a friend of a friend of a friend, that an exciting witness was given to a famous person. This one can be verified by about 1,029 people!!! Supposedly (I'd received an email before that election) his running-mate, Joe Biden was also given the book several yrs. ago.

Pretty cool experience if it was true! I've often thought that if leaders of countries could get witnessed to they of ALL people should see that we are indeed living in the last days! Obama claims to be Christian so we will see if this makes an impact - how wonderful if it does!

The FBI does not provide on site security for the President, that is the assignment of the Secret Service.

The fact that it was heard by an audience of 1019 does niot in itself provide support for it's authenticity.

The totally bogus story that the TV show Jeopardy had a topic "The best Bible" answer "What is the New World Translation?" was repeated on several assembly programs and sadly was a total fabrication.

Made us the laughing  stock of Jeopardy fans world wide.

Similar to the young Sister that gave book to Clinton, pure bogus.

We need something to in the area of authentication.

If there is anyone out there that can substantiate?

How did a politcally neutral person get invited to participate in a political event?

I don't have any additional info about the authenticity of the story, but from my previous experience, a "Meet and Greet" is not a political event per se. It's usually an event where a dignitary visits the company and there is an organized event for selected employees to say a few words on behalf of the employees.

In my case I was selected as the person to meet and greet the mayor. His visit was connected to a short speech on literacy. There was no discussion of his political agenda, affiliation or anything questionable. The itinerary was set before he came and the details of what to expect given ahead of time.

I heard an "experience" at a circuit assembly where the speaker and his wife visited a silversmith's shop to better understand Malachi 3:3.

 

The only problem is that his "experience" was lifted nearly word-for-word from a devotional book first printed in the mid 1800s.

I have rooted the source of where the information came from and am now waiting on a response to learn the facts of this situation. I apologize now if this is not true, it was sent to me from a sister that I dearly love and respect but as we know, we all make mistakes.

Hello all. This is my first post on here. I really appreciate reading everyones insight on things. With that being said, I just thought id state that I in fact heard this experience in person at my circuit assembly a couple years ago. And I know the brother who gave the experience. I cant provide any definitive proof other than I saw and heard it related first hand at the circuit assembly. And that the brother who related it goes to a neighboring congregation.

I know for a fact that Former President Clinton was witnessed too on several occasions while he was the Gov of Arkansas. He was very favorable of the witnesses and took publications. I know the Brother who placed a Family Happiness book with him and he said it was well written  and he actually read it. I dont think he took it to heart though as evidence by the Monica Lewinski episode later.
