Exodus Gods & Kings movie

Over the weekend they aired The Ten Commandments, 1956 film.  The version they aired was remastered and I was surprised at the picture quality.  They did a great job.

 

I also decided to watch the above movie and wasn't sure if Hollywood would make it as bad as Noah (movie) was.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1528100/

 

While it wasn't as badly as inaccurate as Noah (movie), it also wasn't that great either re: entertainment value.  One thing that was a little insulting is that whenever God wanted to communicate with Moses, he took the form of a small boy.  No idea what purpose that was to serve.

 

Anyone else see it...?

I didn't get to see either of those John. Not that I'm against them in a conscience way just haven't got round to it. I think I would enjoy the big scenes .

I didn't see the movie, Exodus Gods and Kings either, I guess this was a way for Satan to insult Jehovah by referring that he is a boy.

There are opinions of flavors there.

 

All throughout the movie I thought they were trying to present Moses as a looney since only he could see and hear God, and only after he was hit in the head in that landslide. But in the end the miracles happen, so I guess they just followed the belief of Christendom that "the ways of the Lord are inscrutable" and that he behaves in strange and unpredictable ways.

I read a review from one critic that said: "....this was the first movie I seen where God portrayed by a child that deserved a good spanking everytime he was in a scene."  LOL!
