 Now they saying it was going 100 mph before crashing. Who was driving it??? Or did he fall asleep?

 

Most of the Northeast Corridor line runs at 125 MPH, with sections up to 150 MPH.

 

The problem here is that the track had a sharp curve with a speed limit of 50 MPH, and the conductor apparently didn't slow down.

Thanks for the information. Now they are saying he was going 106 mph at the curve. Some of the passengers cars are obliterated.
