Vitamin E 400iu

Recommended Posts

Is this dose safe for daily intake?. I want to take this to boost my immunity, hair, skin and nails. Various websites have stated that long term use of this dose causes certain cancers and other health risks. Some websites state these claims are just scaremongering.

Can anyone tell me the correct info about taking Vit E longterm, the dose and benefits and side effects

From my reading ( it's been awhile ) if you don't have heart disease then 400 IU is fine. Even 800 IU is fine.

However if you have heart disease then start out at 100 IU under a doctor's care.

If in doubt, start low and increase over 3 months.

Vit E makes blood vessels more pliable, Bioflavinoids ( bitter white stuff in Citrus fruits, also called Vit. P in Europe, esp East E. ) are supposed to increase blood vessel wall strength. Vit E supposed to help with Coronary Heart Disease. You can have Vit E anemia.

You can Google it and look for reputable sources.

Forgot 1 important thing. Make sure it is natural sourced.

I understand that natural vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol) is much more potent than the synthetic stuff (dl-alpha tocopherol)

It is also more expensive, but why buy a vitamin that is that less effective?
