Dry body brushing and detox baths

Recommended Posts

I am on a health kick again --especially after reading Jewelz thread re: her breast cancer and health tips.

I went to Sprouts and Green Grocers today and bought a variety of vitamins and fruits and vegetables and coconut water with pulp.

I made a water infusion for detox--using lemon slices and juice from one lemon, half a cucumber sliced in rounds, about 12 large mint leaves and two strawberries.  I put this in a pitcher of filtered water and placed it in the refrigerator.  The video I watched re: dry body brushing and the beenefits from it seemed to make sense.  Then I did the facial massage for lymph expression,.  This also made sense to me.  Now for the detox bath concoction.  .I used a 1/2 cup of Epsom salt, 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1 T of dry powder ginger, and 10 gtts of Peppermint essential oil, and 1 c apple cider vinegar..  I placed this in a canning jar and poured boiling water into it to dissolve the salts.  I found lots of web sites with various recipes for detox baths and this seemed to be a popular one.  I filled the bath and immersed myself and sat there for the thirty minutes in recommended.  After the bath you quickly run cool water over yourself then dry off and rub a good body butter all over.  I put on flannel pajamas and doctored my toe.  I am so sleepy, in such a very relaxing good way that I never feel.  I am going to take the melatonin anyway and then go to bed.

I can't believe how relaxed and good I feel.  Not dead tired and restless.

I am working on juicing next.  Do you have a favorite juicing recipe to share or your own relaxation routine?

I'll have to check back tomorrow.  So relaxed and sleepy now.

This is good. I have been trying to use natural things, such as spices, ACV, etc to address physical issues. This is the best detox bath I have come across. So far, so good. Gotten me off one med. Been exercising, too. Plus trying to drink lots of water. Probiotics. Taken me along time to get in pathetic condition, but slowly...thanks!

After a lifetime of awful food choices, I've been on this health kick steadily for 2 yrs now. Youtube has been my coach, as I've learn to experiment with different juicing recipes. It has definitely helped, I no longer crave chocolate every day, and pounds have literally melted away!

(did I just make a commercial? lol)  :)

Hi Leslie, I won't recommend anyone or any product, as everything...don't work for everyone. I'm still scanning videos for recipes, however, this person has started me on my juicing journey.
