As a New Yorker, I have been touched by this story. A recently widowed Bible Student has a son in Dannemora (Clinton, NY). His story is sad and of a one shot involvement (Upstate boy goes to The City). A bad decision can leave one in a critical situation which changes that person's as well as others' lives, long term (in this system).  A Brother with a dearly loved family was once in a similar situation (not prison escape, but was in the grips of a bad decision with repercussions). His mother has been a long serving pioneer. The Brother is now a loving and faithful individual and has given assembly parts. Some of my worldly family and in-laws have narrowly escaped incarceration. I am saddened for the family of the escapee, who is now dead (as well as for any harmed in his path) - for  just a few weeks of 'freedom' on the run. So sad. We are not in a position to judge. That belongs to God. Many have had sentences overturned by forensic evidence. We have the avenue of prayer open to us, as we consider the answer to this pertinent question: "Who really is my neighbor?"
