Ipad Mini charging problem

I've had a iPad mini for some time now and I like it a lot. I do have a problem though.

 

It has to do with charging it. My original lightning charging cable that I received with my iPad wore out, so I went on EBay and ordered more cables. I’ve been told to use only “original” Apple cables, but I decided to go cheap. My problem is that after using the EBay cables for a while, they stop charging. In fact the cable that I just replaced, when I plugged it in to charge, a message came up that said "This accessory might not be supported". I will say that when I’m home I keep it plugged in all the time.

 

Any thought on what might be wrong? Could it be me using the cheap cables?

I don't know much about Apple devices, but if you go to this website and read the suggestions by "Texas Mac Man" he gives some basic steos to take if you are having charging issues. The person who requested help is not having the same issues you are, but the suggestions might help you:

You'll want at least Apple Certified cables. Gizmodo lists them on sale in its daily deal listings all the time.

YES I think so because I had similar problem in the past

I use only premium COMSOL cables (extra strong) they cost here Down Under $29

In my opionion they are better then apple brand.
