This is insane. A 15yo got hold of a gun somehow and killed a stranger.

He acted "alone". It was "political" because he was aiming at anyone connected with the police.  It is deemed an act of terrorism.  His sister had "disappeared" a few days before, believed to be on a Singapore Airlines flight to Istanbul - en route to Syria.

And this 15 year old was "not on the radar" of police.  So how are they supposed to be protecting society??  We know they just can't.  Too many loose cannons out there.  And Australia has very tight gun laws, yet this teenager got hold of one....

Well funnily enough labour had been quietly loosening the gun laws. And sure a 15yo shouldn't have had access to a gun. No one is asking about that. Remember recently abbott wanting to allow semi-automatics back in. Imagine if he got a hold of that?!

I keep in mind the scriptures that say how temporary our lives are in this system - anything can cut short our life in this dangerous system.  Without a firm hope in Jehovah's new world and the resurrection hope, I don't know how people make it through life.  It's such a sad world.

Blimey!  I stayed round the corner from there in George Street a few months ago.  Shocking!  I'd only been back two days and there was the terrorist hostage situation in the CBD as well.
