JW.org and akamaihd.net

I just downloaded the 2016 Year Book and noticed that it came via akamaihd.net. This took me by surprise as I had never noticed it before, and I wondered if the file I was downloading was legit or had been hacked.

In case anyone else is interested:

A Whois search shows that akamaihd.net is registered by Tucows, though I don't know if they are the actual owners. https://who.is/whois/akamaihd.net/

According to Wikipedia;

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is a content delivery network or CDN and cloud services provider headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in the United States. Akamai's content delivery network is one of the world's largest distributed computing platforms, responsible for serving between 15 and 30 percent of all web traffic. The company operates a network of servers around the world and rents capacity on these servers to customers who want their websites to work faster by distributing content from locations close to the user. Over the years their customers have included Apple, Facebook, Bing, Twitter, eBay and healthcare.gov. I also did a search in this forum and found quite a few links to JW.org files that come from akamaihd.net.

So, it appears that everything is OK and JW.org has not been hacked as I originally feared.
