Ban the Bible?

Article that notes lack of Bible  Knowledge (as well as other misinformation or partial information) has contributed to the stated hypothesis.


"According to UShistory.org, Paine used these biblical references because “most people in America had a working knowledge of the Bible,” and because of this, Paine’s arguments struck a chord and enabled the colonists to relate and accept the truth of his words."


While I may not agree with everything on this link, it is thought provoking.

As for education in general, since cursive writing is no longer taught in most US schools, many historical documents could not be read, anyway.  This is diametrically opposed to the writings available on JW.org, which epitomizes the ultimate availability of reading in languages and scripts.
