"More happiness in giving" - so it is selfish to give?

Recommended Posts

Acts 20:35 I have shown you in all things that by working hard in this way, you must assist those who are weak and must keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus, when he himself said: ‘There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving.’”

So is taking the large portion of cake the right thing to do, so the other person receives happiness in giving?

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. Ec 12:13

Darned right! There was only one piece of pizza left. My brother said he would cut it in two so we could share it. One piece was obviously larger than the other. I was offered first choice and took the larger piece. My brother complained that if he had first choice he would have taken the smaller of the two. I told him he was a crybaby, after all “You got it didn’t you!”

I am not sying I am Superman, I am only saying that nobody has ever seen Superman  and me in a room together.

I have been thinking about this topic and I would like all of you to be happier than I am, a sacrifice I am willing to make for my brothers, sisters and turtles here.

Send me half (I don't want to be greedy) of the paper money in your purse. You will be very happy and I will try to do the best I can to look sad. I will not think it selfish on your part and don't let my sadness be of any concern.
