(I know...but I just thought this point was interesting....)

"Growing up my parents were devout Jehovah's Witnesses and I was brought up as one. I never celebrated things like Christmas or Halloween until after I had children. But at this point in my life, I don't belong to a religion - although I do respect what I was taught by my parents."

No appreciation for Spiritual things. Sometimes I wonder about some of the young ones brought up in the Truth. How can they lose so much of the knowledge they were taught. (My own son included.):nope:

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

MY two sisters grow up in the truth and when turned eighteen out into the world they went but they won't baptized and it seemed that my brother (who tured 18 in Aug) wants to follow right in their footsteps. It really bothers me because I am closer to my brother than any of my family and now he is pulling away from me and every time I try to get close it seems like he is pushing me away. It is really heart breaking when you have siblings who grow up in the truth and when they reach of age they just leave. You could imagine how Jehovah must have felt. But despite me being the only child of my parents to get baptize I never felt alone because Jehovah's people always fill the empty spaces left by your siblings. I just have to wait and see if their is any change of heart in them.

If our children never develop that FEAR of displeasing Jehovah, then the truth become like a garment to put on and take off. Just my 2 cents.
