Sisters (and brothers) who sew outfits, please share

Hello All

Willow I would like to take your advice and ask if there are any Friends who sew and crochet and request sewing tips and good sites that are trustworthy.I do not knit. As I mentioned before I love sewing and sew for some of the sisters and usually do mending and repairs for the brothers. I tell the married sisters I make outfits alluring enough for their husbands but modest enough for Jehovah. And like many sewers I have too much fabric and usually buy patterns when they go on sale for a dollar. I especially love making outfits for the conventions and hats for Field Service. My specialty are shawls. I love making those for every outfit. Last year I made a Snuggie for one Friend and was nearly driven crazy as simple as it was it was confusing. This year I'm taking on an adult Onesie. I find fun free topics at burdastyle.com very helpful.

This is a great idea, Venus! And many of the friends on here are very skilled at the art of crocheting, knitting, etc. I I hope we hear from them as well! I myself haven't really done any "creating" of anything new for probably 30 years but only engage in mending and alterations at this time. I have too many physical problems that prevent anymore than that but I admire any who are able to. You friends are AWESOME to me!

Sometimes the "knitting bug" bites me and I start to knit socks.... It's something nice to do on cold winter evenings. I used to sew, but it's too expensive nowadays - hard to buy any fabric (except online, but I want to feel a fabric before I buy it).

I really like the pics you posted, Annie, the rug looks really nice, and a bag like that - I would like to something like that.

BTW: there a tons of videos on youtube, about crocheting and knitting.

WOW! All of your creations are AMAZING to me!!! Just beautiful work - I am soooooo impressed by people that can do these things! It must be so satisfying to create such beautiful and useful things. I can't wait 'til the New System when my nerve damage goes away and I can do more with my hands. I hope more of you are able to post pictures of your handi-work!:worship:

Hello All oh my Sianrose and Anniebea those big pictures are amazing! I love them! The bag looks like something I would wear and the rug looks very cozy. It is really getting cold here in Ga. The little Lamb is especially precious I love him. How did you get those big pictures on line like that? I like the idea of You Tubing the knitting class because I'm more of a visual learner I have to see it to learn it because reading it is like reading Hebrew.

If anyone would like to get in touch with a sister who works with angora and mohair, PM me and I'll put you in touch with her. She has a web site and several other ways she puts her help out there. (She has general info. on most everything to do with running a small farm and recycling, etc. as well as pictures of the cutest baby angora goats you've ever seen!)

My sister has a web site for machine embroidery designs that she designs herself. Have a look see. http://www.pams3ddesigns.net/. She and I had the baby clothes for a while. I just don't have time right now. My sisters things are beautiful.

I'm just making the flowers now to finish off the bag, and then I think I will line it with fabric off some kind otherwise I think it will go out of shape quickly ?

If anyone would like the pattern then pm me ?

After this project I am going to make some mug huggs :) and also try and finish off the socks that I always seem to have on the needles :D

I'm also going to start spinning lessons... it will be a good thing to do from my own home, I'm just putting up some adverts and hope that I get a good few pupils :)
