Christian jukebox (good clean music to listen to)

Two great songs that I’ve always had to have in my collection. They never get old.

Excuse the “stoned” parts...

Happy - Ashanti

Foolish - Ashanti

Never mind that it says explicit. I read the lyrics and listened to the song. It’s safe :)

Popular movie, popular song back in the day. Nilsson (pronounced Neil-son) was a great vocalist.  “Everybody’s talking”.  By Nilsson.

It wasn’t  a wildly popular song, although many big names did record it after this original one. Probably because it’s a soothing tune....and easy to sing. I never get tired of it.

Iron man - Black Sabbath

The drummer Bill Ward is another favorite. He and John Bonham were alike in their style. They stand out from most other drummers. I especially like the second half of iron man.

Great instrumentals here featuring Jeff Beck with Tal Wilkenfeld on the Bass. Beautiful mellow Beatles tune....”A day in the life”

Changing gears in this one.

Dave Clark Five went to the top for just a few years in the sixties with a string of hits. Then they disappeared. This was a nice tune. “Because”

This was a one hit wonder band, but it was  a big hit. Another great old tune,

Spiral Staircase- “I love you more today than yesterday”

His guitar playing in this song kind of reminds me of Carlos Santana’s Europa :)

The song really was a reflection of the times when it was written. It has one of the coolest intros 😎

Ball of confusion (That’s what the world is today) - The Temptations

You beat me to it, I was going to post that 2 weeks ago, but didn't!

Now for something completely different. They don’t write them like this anymore.

This song was written by country legend, Conway Twitty.  If I were trying to think of a stage name for myself, I would have never come up with “Conway Twitty“.   but it worked for him.

This was a popular ballad when I was a young adult. Written and sung by a great songwriter, Bobby Goldsboro.... very sad.

No one knows - Queens Of The Stone Age

Fixing broken link...

The official video had something inappropriate in it and I couldn’t find a video that didn’t have the Spanish outro at the end. I hope it doesn’t contain anything inappropriate.

Here’s a decent cover. The original by Queens of the Stone Age is better but they did a good job. @Pjdriver didn’t they take this guitar riff from a ZZ Top song?

Thanks. I’ve heard this song before but I just thought it was a song that had the exact same riff. Maybe I’m imagining things.

This is for any old hippies out there. Here are a couple of songs out of the 60s that I recall being very popular with the kids.

Small faces was one of many one hit wonders during the sixties. Their big hit was “Itchy-coo Park”.

Man Fred Mann had a few hits, then vanished.  This is “Doo Wah Diddy”

I can’t think of another that would be exactly like that, but I don’t know their music real well either. I listened again and Im pretty sure I’ve heard that before, but not recently. But the song escapes me.....thanks, Now I won’t sleep tonight. :lol1:jk

Its on the tip of my tongue where I heard that. As soon as I figure out where I heard it I’ll post it.:)

Yeah I think I read online that they used the same riff from a ZZ Top song and I also looked it up and heard it years ago.

I nearly forgot all about that second song.
