The Japan branch has confirmed that no Jehovah’s Witnesses died. However, at least 15 brothers and sisters were injured, and at least 538 homes were damaged. Initial assessments also indicate that 44 Kingdom Halls have been damaged.

Thankfully, no one was killed, but the number of homes and KHs affected highlights how broad this typhoon was.  The landslides alone and then the flooding cause major disruptions to roads and other infrastructure.  One wonders in a country like Japan which is regularly hit with every conceivable natural disaster (and then man-made on top) can continue to patch up the system.  Takes so much to recover from even one big disaster.
