I did really, Graham, but the t has a 'ts' sound which I wanted to try to indicate.

I had a Bible study with a Romanian man some years ago, unfortunately he did not progress but he did attend some meetings. He came to Britain as an economic migrant. We used the Knowledge book in English and Romanian in tandem.

It was an exciting time, as my health allowed me to be a regular pioneer and I had studies in Romanian, Albanian and Czech all at the same time.

@ Christopher -WOW! Good for you bro - the best I could manage was attempting the same thing with an Italian man and the Truth Book back in 1980 lol! Sad to say, he didn't progress either!

@ Danielle - Unfortunately dear sister, that was the only Romanian word I know - and I only just learned that when I put it into Google Translate to see what it meant! So... maybe I could just work in the 'English speaking' part of the Romanian field? lol

Learning a new language always starts with a first word in that new language!

As I told to Christopher, I have a nice course for learning Romanian. You could try just for fun...Who knows? You could discover you have a gift for languages...

I ended up concentrating on Czech finally, There were only a couple of Romanians, other brothers were concentrating on Albanian, but no-one wanted to learn Czech - and there were quite a few Czechs/Slovaks here!

Some things stick though, like viata vesnica, Dumnezeu, cunostinta etc.
