wind turbines

Recommended Posts

Wind turbines blades are pilling up in landfills because they are not recyclable. It is a bit shortsighted to think one can put up thousands of wind turbines and would never be coped with on the recycling end.

That was the link I was trying to post, not sure why it posted another topic.  I was trying to think of something those huge pieces of fiberglass could be used for. Maybe roof shingles for houses?  would last  a long time, probably some different profiles on the curves, but if they were organized so they lined up, could make a really cool looking design potentially.  Might not be  a whole lot cheaper, but then you'd have people buying them to be trendy, "My roof is made of recycled wind turbine blades"  lol

Yeah, it makes you wonder.  One thing that's been pointed out to me in the past, is just let it naturally degrade like it is now.  After 1000 years a lot will be reclaimed by the earth as long as more isn't being deposited. After a few thousand years, it'll all be gone.  Once humans recover to perfection, our immune systems will function the way they were supposed to  and we won't get sick from pollution.  I thought that viewpoint made good sense
