Grandma's Rose ~ a poem

I wrote this poem for my grandaughter when she was 16. She is now 26.

Since others are sharing poems I thought that I would share mine. Hope that you enjoy.

:heart:GRANDMA’S ROSE:heart:

My Rose, the most beautiful of all the flowers,

Above all the rest it towers.

A symbol of fragrance and beauty from tip to toes.

It calls to mind visions of the sweetbrier... a wild rose.

My Rose though, is gentle and kind,

The most fairest you’ll ever find,

Lovely and full of grace,

It’s ever clear in that delicate face.

I awaken each day, full of love

Thank Jehovah in the heavens above,

Thinking of My Rose that I adore,

My love grows only more and more.

Into the scented garden I go at early morn,

See my Rose amongst the thorns.

My Rose sees me coming near,

Waiting for me to appear,

Bows gracefully in the breeze

Like a Ballerina, Prima, if you please.

No one will ever know what her presence has meant,

Fairest of all the flowers that heaven has sent.

Expressions of endearment she has to say,

Bringing meaning to my life each day

Reflecting on what she is and what she adorns

She is a Rose amongst the thorns,

A beauty as you well see,

She is my granddaughter, Miranda Marie

And now she knows . . . That she is... her "Gram’s Rose"

Betty how very beautiful! Your grandaughter is very fortunate to have a grandma like you whose eyes sparkle for her!

Thank you Althea! I am so thankful for my grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Jehovah has blessed me with them as I'm sure that you too are blessed with your children. They are beautiful in your photo's. BTW I was baptized July 1072 :squeeze:

Yes, I noticed that we were both baptized in 1972! That was some year, huh? Over 500 baptized at our DC that year. Haha, I don't know how to post pictures, so Betty, those purty girls you saw were some other moms' daughters! :D

That's typical for me, Althea! I have no idea where I seen the pic's! :blushing:
