The world's richest nations have poured unprecedented aid into the global economy as coronavirus cases ballooned in the new epicentre Europe, with the number of deaths in Italy outstripping those in mainland China, where the virus originated.
With more than 242,000 infections and nearly 10,000 deaths, the epidemic has drawn comparisons with painful periods such as World War II, the 2008 financial crisis and the 1918 Spanish flu.
UN chief Antonio Guterres warned a global recession, "perhaps of record dimensions", was a near certainty.

"This is a moment that demands co-ordinated, decisive and innovative policy action from the world's leading economies," Guterres told reporters via a video conference on Thursday.
"We are in an unprecedented situation and the normal rules no longer apply."

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)

About JWTalk.net - Jehovah's Witnesses Online Community

Since 2006, JWTalk has proved to be a well-moderated online community for real Jehovah's Witnesses on the web. However, our community is not an official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not endorsed, sponsored, or maintained by any legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. We are a pro-JW community maintained by brothers and sisters around the world. We expect all community members to be active publishers in their congregations, therefore, please do not apply for membership if you are not currently one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
