how tall can a human get

Recommended Posts

Some basketball players are really tall. 2M, even 2m 20cm

From someone like me whose height is around 172, that’s really overwhelming.

I wonder how tall people will get in the NW?

Will people get just taller and taller?

Or is someone as tall as 2M or above because of imperfection?

If it’s not because of imperfection and only because of DNA variety God designed,

what makes us think people won’t reach 3M someday in the future?

Interesting to think about..haha

It really is interesting to think about.  The Scriptures speaks of very tall humans. Of course, Goliath and his brother Lahmi were men of extraordinary height. And Amorite King Og's iron bier measured "4m by 1.8m."

No doubt in ancient times, there existed a race of humans who were taller than what we see today.  And it would be interesting to see some people of this stature, if not many, in the God's new world.

Some people think it's the other way around, and humans should be shorter, that our ancient ancestors were short. For example Asians tender to be shorter than Westerners, and I know many hold the opinion that, that is the "natural" human spectrum of height (and goes back to  ancient skeletons, of which some call "neanderthals"). And some think it's why people in Asia tend to be healthier and have less bodily troubles than Westerners in old age. Shorter people have a lower center of gravity, so it's easier to be flexible, balanced and so on. Gravity doesn't pull as much on the structure.

Some think modern food additives have caused peolple to become so tall. But tall Western height seems to predate such things, as the average European in the Middle Ages were roughly the same height as now.  Some studies say that groups of people who ate lots of protine, such as meat, eggs and milk, were the societies to grow to taller heights as a result, whereas societies that ate mainly grains and produce of the land, end up being shorter.

I myself am considered very short for a Westerner, being only 5'5ft (166cm), so I'm even shorter than you.

If it's purely physical, rather than genetic, human bones can withstand up to 7 g of acceleration. The density of the human body is about 1 gm/cm³, so if you're taller than 7 meters, your bones will break, so the upper limit is 7 meters. That's all I know

THat’s interesting. so I guess those nephilims coulda been somewhere between 3 to 7 meters.
