This article may help you. Keep in mind that the student may just want to have a closer relationship with Jehovah and doesn't know how to pray or when to pray. They may be looking for help. OTOH, they may have other reasons for wanting to pray during the study so be cautious. It's best to study the lesson about prayer in the Enjoy Life Forever book and then ask the student if they want you to listen to their personal prayer after the study.

Now, on to your question...

 

Of course, a new student should be encouraged to talk to Jehovah in earnest prayer, not just before and after their private study of God's Word, but on all occasions. However, I think your question involves more than just that. You wanted to know if the student can say the prayer before and after his study when you are conducting.

 

The only thing I can remind you of here is that prayer is not an unrestricted privilege, open to virtually all individuals no matter how much or how little they know about Jehovah. See these articles:
