NW Scheduler/Publisher - Updates, Support, and Suggestions

I recently reported two bugs to the developers. One was that sometimes in a person's midweek meeting history you cannot see who was their partner. The other had to do with a grey sign that, according to support should appear when someone had a part recently but, at least in my case, never appears.

I just installed minor update #1471 and it fixes both issues that I reported.

Now the CLAM history grid can have two lines if necessary. And there is a different warning icon if the publisher had another talk recently, different from the one if the publisher has another talk the same day.

Today we are doing a coordinated update and everyone is updating to #1474.

Several of the brothers have successfully updated but they are showing in the system still with an older version. Has anyone experienced this before and have a fix? There must be some kind of update bug.

I have asked a couple of them to go to Me > Update > Check for Updates. It will likely come back as "No Updates" but maybe that will be enough to refresh the system. I haven't heard back from any of them yet. I am not confident it will work so if anyone has a suggestion I am eager to hear it.

I did have an issue where the update suddenly terminated and when I went back in it didn't prompt me to update but did notice I was still on the old version. Tried again same thing happened. Then I manually downloaded the update and ran it but this time it indicated that an existing update was still running. So I ran Task Manager and sure enough the setup process was there. I terminated it then ran the update again and this time it completed right to the end.

Man I sure hope I don't have to walk any of our more technically challenged users through these steps! 😬

Does anyone know how to do this?

This morning a publisher called because she had to reinstall NWP. She did that successfully but said that her field service data was missing. She googled what to do and I tried to follow the instructions, but they do not match current NWS menus.

Here is what it says to do:

AI Overview

The "Refresh Selected App Data" button is located inside the App section of New World Scheduler under App Administration (or via the NW Publisher screen dropdown menu).

How to Find and Use the Button

1. Open New World Scheduler (NWS) on your computer.
2. Click on the App tab or menu in the main navigation.
3. Look for App Administration or the data category selection dropdown/box.
4. Select Persons from the category or dropdown list.
5. Click Refresh Selected App Data.

I am an administrator, but I cannot find the "Refresh Selected App Data" button nor the "App Administration" section. I am assuming the recent updates have restructured the NWS menu system. Can anyone tell me the current steps to refresh this sister's data?

She could also try to Refresh Data in the NWP About page. The problem appears to be her NWP side, not your NWS side...

Is she referring to her current month's report or her historical submitted reports?

Is the current month's input (not yet submitted) stored in the app/phone and not on NWS?  I have been suspicious of that.  If that is the case, is the current month's report at risk when the app has a failure?

Thanks!
