Do you think if I got a brother from my congregation to do a backup and then send me that, and I imported it, it would work? Or are the backups strictly for the person who did them?

Alternatively I could uninstall it all and start afresh.

If I'm not mistaken, every time you close the program it makes a backup automatically. I'm just not sure where those backups are stored. But you should have one on your system somewhere.

The automatic backups are being saved here:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\NW Scheduler\Backups

Here is the information regarding this:

I'm having the same problem.  Updated to 8.0 #1437 this morning. Under the template dropdown it simply says No Records Found for ALL reports.  But I noticed that the templates ARE PRESENT in C:\Program Files\New World Scheduler\Templates.  I removed the program without removing the data, hoping that a reinstall would reestablish the link to this folder.  To no avail.  I'd like to go back to 1436.  Anyone know how to find that version/do that?

Just a heads-up: since updating to the latest NWS Desktop build (#1437), we've noticed a few new bugs on our end. I've already submitted reports through their website, so hopefully they’ll see them soon.

One issue occurs in “Save, Print & Email Reports.” After opening that section and being in it for about five seconds, the program simply closes—no error message or warning, it just shuts down.

Another issue is in “Public Talks – Away.” The column headings where our outgoing speakers’ names normally appear are now blank. In the same section, two additional empty columns have also appeared on the right side.

Yeah there is definitely more widespread problems. Other brothers in our Cong are missing reports and templates. So not just me.

Same here I just got a message from our CLM overseer and he nor I can print the midweek meeting schedule.

I'm so frustrated.

Updated to 8.0 #1437 this morning. Lost all the templates for printing reports, schedules etc.

C.O visiting this week. I produced the S-88 meeting attendance for him a few days ago and forgot to include our foreign language group 😬 so jumped on this morning to redo it and now have no way of printing it for him.

We are experiencing similar problems to what others here are saying. The "Save, Print, and Email Reports" section is unusable. It closes out as soon as you click anything or just wait a short time.

If you are not able to restore your data from a local backup like it is suggested, remember the data is still likely there - it is just not accessible through the corrupted "Reports" section.

To get your Meeting Attendance data:
Go to Congregation > Meeting Attendance > Change the dropdown from Congregation to the language group you sponsor. At least for us, all the data is still showing there. If your records are there, you could manually extract it and calculate the averages for the circuit overseer.

No - I am quite sure you could use any backup that was made later than yours. Just do a manual restore and select the file from your brother. If it turns out no one has a later backup, you could still probably have some success with your own backup from a previous version. Note that you have a very detailed ability to select ONLY the item(s) you are trying to recover. You might get most of it back, anyway. You won't lose anything by trying.

When doing a restore, you can choose a file from your Auto Backup or your Manual Backup. Your last Auto backup before upgrading is likely your best choice.

Thanks.

Unfortunately it hasn't worked. It would appear that these template files have been deleted as part of the update. The problem persists.

But it's clear that there is an ongoing issue for others too. Thankfully it's not just me b
