Visiting Romania

Hello, dear brothers and sisters! I hope you’re doing well?

 

I'm coming to Bucharest, Romania for a work conference and would love to attend Christian meetings during my stay.

I was wondering if anyone here resides in Bucharest?

I'd be grateful for any connections or information. Thank you!

I don't live in Romania but visit there often.

 

There is an English congregation in Bucharest. According to JW.org the address is "str. Alexandru cel Bun nr. 25-27" and meetings are Thursdays at 7:00 PM and Sundays at 11:00 AM. Public transportation is fast and economical, but if you don't want to be looking for addresses, my advice is to take an Uber. They are very affordable. If possible, book a visit to the branch. It's a small but beautiful branch, and they have a nice exhibition of the story of the work in Romania.

 

The old city center has been restored in the last years and now it looks quite quaint. The area is safe, just beware of pickpockets as in every major city.  Restaurants are cheap and food is great. Some must-have favorites are "Carul cu Bere" and "Hanul lui Manuc" in the old city center, and last time I was there I was pleasantly surprised by "La Copac".

 

There are several friends from Romania in the forums, I hope you can meet some of them.
