Thinking Green in a Brown World

We are very aware of the need to change the way we live as we try to not just 'think green' but also to 'live green'. So much of the way we live today is controlled by systems and methods that run contrary to the need for a clean fresh earth. We know that the future holds a perfect environment for us to live in, but is there more we can do now to improve our day-to-day life? For example, most of us cannot afford to buy E-vehicles, as they are too expensive, but could we limit our use of fuel guzzlers? sometimes we use cars when we could walk, cycle, or use public transport. What thoughts do others have on how we could improve our environment now, while we await the perfect solution?

I was amazed when I recently read that using a gas-powered leaf blower pollutes as much as driving 1000 miles in a car.

Are gas-powered leaf blowers bad? Here’s what to know (usatoday.com)

We have been using electric or battery powered lawn tools for a while. One I hate the smell of gas, two they are easier for me to turn on and off and three climate and noise pollution.
For our smallish yard the battery powered lawn mower, weed water and leaf blower works fine. We use an electric power washer.
Im hoping to maybe get a hybrid vehicle in the future if we can afford it.
Anyone have any recommendations on a largish suv hybrid?  Currently am driving a Honda odyssey and like that level of comfort. Even if it is almost 20 years old haha

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”

I can't afford an EV either.  But I did buy an older hybrid car.  A 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid.  Its tank is only 12 gallons, yet it can go as far as our 21 gallon Ford Explorer "ecoboost".  I have a 1.6 mile trip to work, and under ideal conditions and temperatures, I can make the entire trip on battery power.  I do try to take care of the environment for 2 reasons:

1.  It shows Jehovah that we respect and value his creations.  Like we would take steps to maintain and protect an expensive gift someone gave us.

2.  The more work we do now to protect the environment, the less cleanup we'll have to do in the new world.  We'll be able to start checking off our new world bucket list even earlier.
