Bill For 32 Hour Work Week

Recommended Posts

A 4 day work week with no loss of wages plus overtime for over 32 hours, that would be amazing. Maybe it would encourage more workers to get back to work instead of living off the government.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., plans to introduce legislation that would reduce the standard workweek from 40 hours per week to 32 hours per week.

That would be a pretty big raise.  Most companies are not going to absorb the loss from less production at the same cost. They’ll pas it on to us.

So another reason for prices to go up significantly.

Many trades couldn’t operate that way without raising their rates. If I’m paying my worker 30. per hour ($240. per day) I have 2 choices: Take that $240. out of my own pocket every week (over $11,000. yearly) or charge the client 20% more for the Job.

Sounds great for the Employees, but not so much for the business owners. When prices all go up,  everyone including employees will feel it.
