Two weird questions about tipping

This shouldn't still bother me, but it feels unfinished. After pioneer school, we went out for a meal and someone (brother) asked for all-on-one check. I figured my damage and put down a large tip. Some people ordered a la cart and someone else Sister told them to take back money from the table. Some did refund themselves, including part of my tip. Another pioneer took the bill up and later told me there was less than ten %. I wanted to find out the server and get that person more funds, but was unable to. Have never put myself in that position again, even though I am under headship.

Most groups I eat out with, where there is just one bill/check calculate their meal amount put that in first then if tipping add it after.  That way what happened to you shouldn’t happen.  Our custom here in Australia is we don’t tip however when you are in a group its nice to tip as it is not easy waiting on a table of a group.

Dang, my friends and i went out to ihop. This was around 10 years ago. There were six of us, and four of us could ewt for two-three so a lot of food was ordered. No one tipped. I thought one of the guys were since they were paying (date night). I felt..no, i still feel real bad from that. I also feel bad about my first time door dashing, i got free delivery due to it being the first time and i didnt tip because i didnt realize the driver got nothing. Although it explains why it took over an hour for someone to take my order. Tried to tip her latee through the app but it was too late.

Ill give my answer as simple as possible.

If you live in the United States. Leaving a tip is a kindness. My wife was a waitress and tips was how she earned most of her income to help pay our bills. If you live in the U.S. Tip!

Especially if you're in meeting clothes and known as a witness.

One time, I had horrible service. The waiter was slow and my food was cold and my water was empty. I left a big tip.

Not for the waiter. Not for anyone looking on. But before Jehovah, I like to be generous even when not deserving.
