So they want to regulate weapons sales between countries when they can't even regulate them in their own countries. That should be interesting to watch. Sadly, no real change will come out of it.

They are already talking about excluding "small" arms (you know shoulder fired missiles) and ammunition :lol1:

Is this the quote you are referring to?

"In the next few weeks, diplomats will either change the world - or fail the world,"

That's it.

I posted the link from my Tablet and spelling and copy/paste is so much harder (auto correct) happens when submit is used:wall:

It might turn out to be an expensive Talkfest but if it gets any publicity, they will be showing all of us that they treat world peace as an excuse for an all expenses paid junket.

My opinion is, it is going to have to pass in order for them to declare Peace and Security. If it fails, then the world will turn on them for trying to take them down. If the govt can control who buys and who don't it would be easier to declare P&S. That's just my opinion... :)

Interesting - I'll have to watch this "summit" more closely - thanks.

I'm surprised that neither gun lobbyist nor the NRA are screaming revolution. Hmmm. . . The game is afoot.

It's funny how the US, China and other countries don't want to include in the treaty ammunition. I guess they just want to throw guns at eachother. :perplexed:

That is one of the problems that was raised. The meeting is more about international arms dealers than targeting individuals with personalweapons.

Arms dealers are not going to stand by and let this happen but time will tell if any progress is made. We don't expect any outcome of value but if they fail . .as the sentence in par. 8 says . .they will be failing mankind.

I'm not holding my breath until they fix things.
