Japanese Tsunami debris on our beaches

Hi folks, thought this would be of interest to some. Junk has been washing up on shore more and more. The boat that washed up in Ilwaco, just down the road from us, was interesting. An elder in our hall was on a walk with his wife and found a bouy, a big yellow one. He thinks it's wonderful yard art! But Debbie said their yard would be swallowed up by the thing!!

They have been having beach clean-ups, with all the junk posing as possible treasure I'm sure people will be more willing.

Will keep you folks posted as more washes up. Maybe we'll find TREASURE!!

That's pretty cool Cheryl. Get all the old folks with their metal detectors out there and they will get everything!

What part of the Pacific coast are you on Cheryl? The good junk hasn't reached us in San Diego yet!

There's been some other articles written about more stuff found between here and Southern Oregon. Going to work in the early mornings I listen to talk radio and there is a lot of debate about who is going to pay for all the clean up that will need to be done. We're talking into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. When they find what is washed ashore it's generally not small stuff, including lots of styrofoam.

I'll be in service with the brother, Mike and his wife Debbie, tomorrow. He's the one who found the big bouy....er float?? I'll get a picture of it and I'll take a picture of a bouy that is perched in front of a restaurant in Chinook. It's HUGE! I don't know how to downsize the pics so I may have to send them to someone to do it for me so everyone can enjoy looking at this stuff.
