My first attempt at creative writing. I hope you like it 😊.

Walking with my canine companion Max along a grassy meadow surrounded by trees, he suddenly puts his nose in the air, searching for that familiar scent. He silently slinks over to a nearby tree, where he comes to a stop, staring into its branches. Sure enough, a bushy-tailed squirrel soon makes it presence know. Instead of staying well up high in that tree, the little rascal appears to challenge Max to come and get him! Soon, Max is jumping and barking at the foot of the tree.

Apparently wanting to make things more interesting, the squirrel suddenly clambers down the tree and makes a zig-zagging run across the meadow with Max in hot pursuit. Both animals are running full-tilt, and it looks Max is slowly closing the distance between them, but not fast enough. With one final burst of energy, the little squirrel leaps into a tree – safe! As Max stands panting in disappointment, the little squirrel hops down beside him. Max gives him a little lick of affection, and stands patiently as it climbs onto his back, ready for a ride back to my side of the meadow, ready to race again tomorrow.

About JWTalk.net - Jehovah's Witnesses Online Community

Since 2006, JWTalk has proved to be a well-moderated online community for real Jehovah's Witnesses on the web. However, our community is not an official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not endorsed, sponsored, or maintained by any legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. We are a pro-JW community maintained by brothers and sisters around the world. We expect all community members to be active publishers in their congregations, therefore, please do not apply for membership if you are not currently one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
